21greenHOME, by FormFunction-Plus

Every once in a while, a new construction project really catches my fancy. This project, on which I just completed photography, is one of them.

This killer house, by architect Andreas Brueggemann, combines contemporary style, a great “liveability” factor, and ‘green’ sustainable materials and design. I love the way this space flows!

Andreas struck a great balance between keeping the costs down and still providing a very appealing space. With solar panels, back-vented building skin design (natural cooling), and eco-friendly materials throughout, this house is part of the solution, not the problem! It even has an electronic vehicle plug in the carport!

Coastal Living by Westmark Development

Some assignments are tougher than others.

Last week I had the opportunity to shoot in Palm Island Plantation, a Vero Beach community by Westmark Development.

It was a busy 4 days, in which I had the pleasure of shooting with my friend and colleague M. James Northen, a tremendously talented photographer who lives in Vero. We shot the Beach Club and one of the model homes on Friday (with a few pick-up shots on Monday morning), and I taught workshops on Saturday and Sunday with 13 photographers who came from as far away as Boston, New York, and Mexico (in addition to a good number of Floridians). It was good fun, and some great shots were captured by everyone. read more, and a bunch of photos, after the jump

Desert Living

I shot a new model home for Lennar a couple of weeks ago, in conjunction with a lighting workshop: the Kennilworth model, in Lennar’s Stetson Ranch development, in Phoenix.

The workshop was a blast, a lot of talented folks came out and we had a good time! I’m writing this post from 39,000′ above Mississippi, en route to yet another workshop in Vero Beach, which I think will be just as good.

Here’s one more from Phoenix:

A Trio of Kitchens

What’s better than a great kitchen? Cruising through the archives, these 3 jumped out:

Pacific Heights Trophy House

Back in April I shot this spectacular Pacific Heights (San Francisco) mansion, for David Bellings/Coldwell Banker Previews. David is the #1 Coldwell Banker agent in San Francisco, and ranked in the top 1% Internationally — and I like him because he gets GREAT material in front of my camera!
